Acceptance and Eligibility

These Terms of Service apply to sidequestdept.com and the Side Quest Department website, generator, newsletter, digital products, merchandise, and future products. By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

The website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the website only with appropriate parent or guardian involvement.

Services

Side Quest Department provides entertainment-oriented website content, the Side Quest Generator, optional newsletter content, digital products, merchandise, and future products. Side Quest Department is a fictional brand and is not a real government agency.

The Side Quest Generator creates playful activity suggestions. Generated quests are for entertainment only and are not emergency, medical, legal, financial, professional, or safety advice.

Safety and User Responsibility

You are responsible for using personal judgment. Before attempting any activity, consider health, weather, location, age, supervision, transportation, property rules, local laws, and personal ability. Skip or regenerate any assignment that is unsuitable.

Do not trespass, break the law, damage property, harass people, invade privacy, create hazards, or perform dangerous activities. If a quest sounds like a bad idea in your circumstances, treat that as a boss battle you are allowed to avoid.

Purchases and External Checkout

Purchases are completed through Printify PopUp Shop or another external checkout provider. That provider’s checkout, payment, refund, delivery, and privacy terms may also apply. Side Quest Department does not directly receive full payment-card details through this website.

Product descriptions, availability, pricing, promotions, and errors may change. If an error appears, Side Quest Department may correct it as allowed by applicable law and the external platform’s policies.

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the policy presented on the external checkout platform and applicable law. Do not publish this page until the relevant checkout policy has been reviewed.

Digital Product License

Unless a product listing says otherwise, digital products are licensed for personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable use. Normal personal printing and household use are allowed.

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, mass reproduce, upload files to sharing sites, or otherwise make digital products available to others except as expressly allowed in the product listing.

Intellectual Property

The website, brand elements, text, graphics, generator content, downloadable files, and other materials are owned by the operator or licensed for use, unless otherwise stated. You may not copy or use them beyond what these Terms or a product license permits.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with site operation, introduce malware, scrape content in an abusive or automated manner, bypass security measures, or use the website for unlawful, harmful, harassing, deceptive, or invasive purposes.

User Submissions

The current website does not require customer accounts and does not include a public user-submission system in the theme. If submission features are added later, these Terms should be updated before launch.

Third-Party Links and Services

The website may link to external commerce platforms, newsletter tools, social media profiles, and other services. Third-party platforms are separate kingdoms with their own rules, and Side Quest Department is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

Disclaimers and Liability

The website and content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent allowed by law, Side Quest Department disclaims warranties that cannot be expressly verified, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the extent allowed by law, Side Quest Department and the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from your use of generated quests, website content, third-party platforms, or products. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limits may not apply to you.

Attorney Review Recommended: The following indemnification language should be reviewed by legal counsel before publication. You agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of another person’s rights.

Service Changes

Side Quest Department may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the website, content, generator, newsletter, or products at any time. Save points are helpful; permanent availability is not promised.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable law, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Macon-Bibb, Georgia.

General Terms

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with any product-specific terms, form the entire agreement for use of the website and products. Side Quest Department may update these Terms, and the Last Updated date will show when changes were made.
